"Dreams in life may seem impossible. They are not.

They are accomplished one goal at a time."
Herman Cain, Chairman of Godfather's Pizza

I would like to share a dream I have with you. My dream is to wipe out cancer. Currently, one in nine women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. One in nine. I started counting women I care about, my mom, my sisters, my grandmothers, my aunts, and my best friend. Statistically speaking, one of them will develop breast cancer. My Gram and my Aunt Ann did. So much research is needed to find a cure. Early detection and treatment are doing a great deal to save lives but there are many that can not afford the tests or treatment that are essential to survival.

Along with my mother, Jeanne, my aunt, Joan, and my sister-in-law, Renee, we have committed ourselves to the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk Colorado. The walk is August 2-4, 2002. We will walk 60 miles from Boulder, Colorado to Denver, Colorado along with 3000 other committed people working to change the world. The money we will raise will go to education, toward mammograms for women who can not afford them, and to help find a cure. We all can help save lives.

We have each pledged to raise $2000.00

Will you help sponsor my walk by making a contribution to Avon Breast Cancer? This is a tax-deductible contribution.

Any amount is appreciated as we work toward our commitment.

This walk in is in honor of my Gram, Mary Griffin, and my aunt, Ann Mills.

Thanks,
Jeannetta Beasley

Also, you are welcome to sign the guestbook.
